Some problems are big and need to be broken down into bite size pieces which can be given to other individuals to deliver. These become an objective for that individual.


The objective owner works out what needs to be done to solve the problem by identifying the activities needed.

Objectives are always agreed between the manager and the individual to create genuine ownership and accountability.


To maximise the probability of success, regular milestones are set for either a numerical target or the progress for activities that have been set. Achievement of these milestones is the required path to deliver the final outcome.


Progress against these milestones is measured frequently with a Pulse check.
